About Bashe Dairy Farm
Our Story
Bashe Dairy Farm Limited traces its roots to 1946, when the grandfather of today's leadership first committed the family to traditional livestock keeping and subsistence farming in Tanzania. That founding vision was carried forward through a second generation of quiet stewardship, before Hussein Mohamed Bashe took over the family's livestock operations in 2007 and, by 2018, consolidated them into a single, modern, mechanised farm at Uyui, Tabora Region. Today, Bashe Dairy Farm is a functioning, asset-backed agro-industrial enterprise — not a concept or a startup. Across 3,000 acres in Kinyamwe Village, Magiri Ward, we manage 6,400+ head of livestock, produce 20,000 litres of fresh milk daily, and are executing a determined path to 60,000 litres within two years. Our operations run on a Total Mixed Ration (TMR) feeding system, precision nutrition management, mechanised farm infrastructure, and AI-supported herd monitoring — standards aligned with international commercial dairy practice. We are guided by a simple set of values: discipline in how we manage the land and our herds, accountability to the communities and regulators we work alongside, and a long-term, generational commitment to building something that outlasts any single harvest or season. These values have earned Bashe Dairy Farm formal recognition — a TIC Certificate of Incentives, a TBS Standard Mark Licence for our yoghurt range, and full BRELA and TRA compliance — alongside a growing 10-factory agro-processing vision that will carry Tanzanian agriculture from raw production into full value-chain capture. From the soil of three generations to your family's table, Bashe Dairy Farm remains committed to modern, sustainable livestock farming — and to positioning Tanzania as a serious player in Africa's agricultural future.
"This farm is my inheritance and my responsibility. It is where my values were formed — where I learned that the land demands commitment, that livestock rewards patience, and that production is the most honest form of contribution any enterprise can make."
